Solar Update - September 2024
September gives us our first time that we can compare a full months generation to the previous year. Last September we consumed 389kWh and exported 125kWh. This years totals are very similar with 443kWh consumed and 82kWh exported. This gives a total of 526kWh this year compared to 514kWh last year. So the generation is down a bit from August as expected but compared to last year it is very similar. One difference this year is the import amount though. This is due to me using the car a lot more than in previous months as I am back in College and therefore am commuting five days a week as well as using the car at the weekend. Thankfully the cheap night rate has kept the bills down too.
This month also is the first time the price per kWh has dropped below €2. There's still a few years to go before it'll be below the current price of €0.35 per kWh.
