Decorating - The missing week, part 2

This post was found in an old diary of mine. This was the next part to the missing week post previously but I had never typed this up. There's a few more parts bringing us right up to New Year's Eve 2010. This was added in June 2026.

Friday: Working in the morning. Paula heading to funeral today. She stayed in the flat with Stephanie last night. Thankfully all went well. I got out Inception and Shrek 4 and bought her pasta bowls too. I fixed the lights on the tree and tried to head to Craigavon with Becky. We got as far as Armagh but no luck (too much snow). Chatted to Paula on the phone that night.

This was the day I slipped on the ice when we were coming home.

Saturday: Not working today and was up early enough. Planned to decorate the tree and tidy my room but had a sore stomach so I couldn't. Lay about all day instead. Paula came over in the evening though and we watched Inception and decorated the tree. Paula stayed the night.

Sunday: Not up too early and sat around the house for the day. We watched Shrek and had dinner and Paula headed home. I put up more decorations in the front room and helped Dad with the frozen pipes a bit. Played a bit of Halo 2 too.

Monday: I was supposed to be working 1-9 but changed to 3-9 instead. So I just sat around the shop for 2 hours. Was quiet today too. I talked to Paula on the phone and went to bed.

Tuesday: Mum went back to Cavan to see about her wound. I went in to work with Emma at 12 and watched a few episodes of Big Bang Theory. Paula was in town too so I met up with her for a while and started work at 3. It was very cold in the shop. I got home around 10 after looking for mincemeat for pies. I wrapped Paula's present.
