Solar Update - May 2026

Paula has bought a new car, a 212 Renault Scenic plug-in hybrid. So this means we now have two cars pulling from the grid which I will expect will increase the import totals in the long run. For now though, because the sun has been shining, we have done quite a bit of charging during the day in May. I think this can be seen by the relatively small amount of exported electricity we had this May compared to last May, which was 258 kWh. This coupled with my finishing up in college means there are fewer kilometers being driven overall. It will be something to keep an eye on.

In May, there were 642 kWh consumed and 121 kWh exported. This gives us a generated total of 763 kWh. There were 368 kWh imported.
