Solar Update - June 2026
June was broadly in line with previous years for generation. The sun was really shining the last couple of weeks which meant the cars were getting charged by the sun quite a bit. We might be getting another good spell in a week or so. There was 493kWh consumed with 234kWh exported. This gives a total generation of 727kWh. There was 385kWh imported so there hasn't been a major uptick on imports due to the second electric car in the house.
The Eddi wasn't generating as much though as likely some of that power went to the car and some of it was due to the water reaching the highest temperature and therefore sending to the grid instead. We were also getting some renovations done so the Eddi needed to be turned off for a day or two. I'm not sure if these renovations are part of the reason the Eddi is now hitting the heating limit as I don't ever remember hitting it before, at least not with this regularity.
